Mr. Pace is co-founder and President of Pacific Property Company. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). His early career began with the accounting firm of KPMG, San Francisco, and the subsequent founding of CMR Search in 1983. Prior to Pacific, Mr. Pace spent fourteen years in several senior positions for multifamily pension fund advisor SSR Realty Advisors, culminating in the position of Managing Director, National Acquisitions. Clients included CALPERS, CalSTRS, the Alaska Permanent Fund, City and County of San Francisco, and several others. Since 1986, he has been an investment advisor and principal in the acquisition of apartment communities totaling more than 22,000 units and $4.5 billion dollars. Mr. Pace has been instrumental in the development of an apartment value fund and has broad institutional contacts and experience. He is a member and director of the National Multihousing Council (NMHC) and ULI and has authored articles on the subject of multifamily investments.
