John Kerin is the president and chief executive officer of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. John joined the firm in 1981 and, after a distinguished career as a top performing agent, opened the Los Angeles office which subsequently became one of the highest producing offices in the company. As a group manager he has supervised, at one time or another, most of the offices in the company. The breadth and depth of his experience and his unwavering dedication to the principals of the firm have helped grow the organization to the leading investment brokerage firm nationally. His commitment to value-added brokerage, developing and supporting agents and regional managers has contributed to many individuals' personal success through the years. The recent market dislocation has reinvigorated the power of our value-added brokerage platform. Despite our leading market position, we have a tremendous opportunity to grow in virtually every market and product type by expanding our market share. John will be the fourth president since the firm's founding and we are confident that he will take our tradition of agent and client support to the next level with his energy and insight.
