Steve Umphreys is Vice President of Employee Services for Marcus & Millichap Company. He is involved with talent recruitment and leadership development activities. Before joining MMC, Mr. Umphreys was Executive Vice President at Salesforce.com, responsible for worldwide employee services. In 1999 he co-founded Callisma, a global network services consulting firm, and raised over $50 million in capital before the company was acquired by SBC. He accumulated over 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley, including serving on the executive team at International Network Services, helping it become one of the top five "Fastest Growing Companies in Silicon Valley" two years in a row. He began his career at Hewlett-Packard in 1978. Mr. Umphreys holds two Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Davis and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles.
