William Millichap is the Co-Chairman of Marcus & Millichap Company. In addition to his role at MMC, he is the Co-Chairman of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, which specializes in the brokerage of a wide range of residential and commercial properties. Mr. Millichap is also the Managing Partner of Marcus & Millichap Venture Partners. He serves on the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the National Venture Capital Association. Mr. Millichap also serves as a board member for Essex Property Trust (NYSE: ESS), LoopNet (NASDAQ: LOOP), REIS Reports (the leading information provider to the commercial real estate industry), and MyNewPlace.com (an Internet company that matches renters with apartment rental opportunities). Before partnering with George Marcus, Mr. Millichap graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and served as a U.S. Naval Officer.
