Venture Associate Program
The Venture Associate Program is the predominant entry point to MMC and our family of companies. The program is geared toward candidates with leadership potential who have recently completed a real estate focused MBA program and who have at least 3 years of business experience.
Venture Associates have a unique opportunity to rotate throughout our companies, and explore various functions within the real estate industry (including acquisitions, development, marketing, asset management, and finance). The Program provides an opportunity to work for companies that focus on a variety of sectors (office, retail, multifamily, single family and net lease) before committing to a specific position. Venture Associates generally begin with a rotation in the holding company (MMC) followed by rotations in selected companies. Rotation assignments are based on corporate needs as well as, to the extent possible, the Associate’s interests. Typically, each rotation is about 3-4 months in duration.
Placements are based on mutual fit and interest and occur throughout the rotation cycles. While rotating, an Associate’s responsibilities may include preparing investment packages, conducting due diligence on potential acquisitions or development deals, assessing market opportunities and feasibility for new business ventures and strategies, assisting in project-level financing, and many other challenging assignments. While in the Program, Associates will have opportunities to meet and interact with senior management, participate in investment committee meetings, and gain first-hand exposure to our companies.
Associates will typically start in the Company’s Palo Alto headquarters. Rotations are in both our Palo Alto and East Bay offices. Southern California placements may also be available.
As mentioned above, candidates must have an MBA and at least 3 years of business experience. Prior real estate experience is preferred. Interested and qualified candidates, please apply through the Career Opportunities section.
